Position: Senior Lecturer & Consultant Cardiologist

Matt is currently senior lecturer and consultant cardiologist for the University of Manchester, with a clinical practice covering structural, congenital and inherited cardiac conditions. He was previously Wellcome Trust Intermediate Clinical Fellow, University of Oxford, following positions as University Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. Early clinical training was completed in the Eastern Deanery following successful completion of the Cambridge University MB/PhD program. He is an expert on genetically encoded fluorescent and bioluminescent calcium indicators and works to apply them to ventricular and iPS derived cardiomyocytes, and beta-pancreatic cells in particular.
