Faculty Information

Please ensure you read the 'HRC Chair and Speaker Guidance Notes' here before attending the congress.

Please note: We encourage all speakers to e-mail their presentations or make them available for internet download (large files) in advance if at all possible; this is most important if you are including video files.

This is for your convenience as the technicians will be able to check any hyperlinks, images and videos you have included. You will be able to review/amend your presentation onsite in the speaker ready room which will be in Hall 7a.

Presentations can be emailed to info@heartrhythmcongress.org.uk

Speaker Ready Room

ALL presentations need to be uploaded to the network via the speaker ready room (Hall 7a) at least 2 hours before your session is due to begin or the day before if the session commences at 08:30. (Please note: if you are speaking on Sunday 06 October, the speaker ready room will open for our event from 09:00).

If a presentation is received beyond this time limit, audiovisual support is not guaranteed.

The speaker ready room is located in Hall 7a, which is on level 4 and a short walk from registration.

Peak hours for the speaker ready room are the tea/coffee and lunch breaks therefore to ensure you have sufficient time with the technicians, we recommend you visit the speaker ready room during the sessions.

Speaker room opening hours:

Sunday 06 October: 08:30 – 17:30

Monday 07 October: 07:30 – 17:30

Tuesday 08 October: 07:30 – 17:30

Please feel free to work on your presentation in the speaker ready room during HRC2024. The computers in the speaker ready room are exactly alike to the computers in the session rooms therefore if your presentation looks good in the speaker ready room, then it will look good in the session.

Technicians will be in the speaker ready room all day to help you plus there will also be technicians available throughout the halls to troubleshoot problems.

Restrictions: Only comfort monitors will be provided within the halls therefore you will be unable to directly load your presentation. Use of personal laptops to deliver your presentation is not allowed however if you wish to use a MAC, iPad etc please ENSURE you bring your VGA adaptor and inform us in advance.

Technical Information

PowerPoint is the required format. The templates for HRC2024 can be downloaded below. Your PowerPoint presentation must be compatible with Microsoft Office 2016; the computers provided in each session will be running Microsoft Office 2016. Presentations should be in 16:9 format 1920x1080.

When submitting your presentation(s) to the speaker ready room, please present it to the technician on either CD-ROM or USB Flash Disk (PC formatted - not MAC). Make sure any audio or video files are saved with the presentations. Videos should be no more than 200mb per file and be in a recognised format (e.g. quicktime, .mov, mpeg4, H.264). This will help to ensure they play correctly during the presentations.

You will control your presentation in the session room using a remote mouse positioned at the lectern, there will also be a laser pointer for you to use.
