Faculty Information

Please ensure you read the “HRC Chair and Speaker Guidance Notes” before attending the congress.

Media Suite

All presentations must be uploaded to the venue network via the Media Suite on Level 4, located a short walk from registration.

Presentations must be uploaded:

  • At least 2 hours before your session begins; or
  • The day before if your session starts at 08:30.

Please note: If you are speaking on Sunday 11 October, the Media Suite will open at 10:00 for HRC2026.

Presentations received after these deadlines may not receive guaranteed audiovisual support.

Peak times in the Media Suite are during tea/coffee and lunch breaks. To ensure sufficient support time with technicians, we recommend visiting during session hours where possible.

Media Suite Opening Hours

  • Sunday 11 October: 10:00–17:30
  • Monday 12 October: 07:30–17:30
  • Tuesday 13 October: 07:30–17:30

Speakers are welcome to work on presentations in the Media Suite throughout HRC2026. The computers in the Media Suite are identical to those used in the session rooms, allowing you to preview presentations accurately.

Technicians will be available in the Media Suite throughout the day, with additional support staff available in the session halls for troubleshooting.

Presentation Restrictions

Only comfort monitors will be provided in the session halls. Speakers will not be able to load presentations directly in the lecture room.

Use of personal laptops for presentations is not permitted. However, if you wish to use a Mac, iPad, or other personal device, please:

  • Inform the organisers in advance; and
  • Bring the appropriate HDMI adaptor.

Technical Information

PowerPoint is the required presentation format.

HRC2026 presentation templates can be downloaded below.

  • Slide format is 16:9
  • Resolution is 1920 × 1080

All session room computers will run Microsoft Office 2016.

When submitting presentations to the Media Suite, please provide them on a USB flash drive.

Important:

  • All audio and video files must be embedded within the presentation.
  • Embedded streaming links (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo) cannot be played during sessions.
  • Video files should ideally:
    • Be under 200MB per file
    • Use a recognised format such as QuickTime (.mov), MPEG-4, or H.264

These recommendations help ensure reliable playback during presentations.

Speakers will control presentations using a remote mouse at the lectern. A laser pointer will also be provided.
