Position: Heart Failure Services Lead
Location: Rugby, UK

Dr Kuehl qualified at the University of Jena, Germany and has completed his Specialist Registrar training in the West Midlands Deanery in 2016. Following his CCT has gained further experience in complex device implantation as well as in advanced heart failure management at the Heart Centre Leipzig, Germany. He is leading the heart failure services at St Cross Hospital in Rugby and has a special interest in advanced heart failure, cardiac sarcoidosis and remote monitoring of patients with devices and heart failure. He has introduced new device implantation techniques to UHCW, such as leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous ICDs, and HIS bundle pacing. Together with colleagues from other specialities, he has set up a multidisciplinary sarcoidosis MDT. He is also involved in a number of research projects, and has a particular interest in cardiac remodelling after treatment with sacubitril/valsartan, remote monitoring of CIEDs as well as Cardiac Sarcoidosis.
