Position: Arrhythmia Nurse Specialist
Location: Dorset, UK
My name is Juliet Quick. I am an Arrhythmia Nurse Specialist at Dorset County Hospital and have been in my current role for the last 11 years. I have been a qualified nurse for 21 years and have worked within Cardiology for the best part of my nursing career.
I gained invaluable experience working in various clinical settings, including cardiac wards and outpatient clinics. This diverse exposure equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of cardiac conditions and instilled in me a deep sense of empathy for patients and their families. Within my Arrhythmia Nurse role I lead the AF service and a big part of my role in managing patients with atrial arrhythmias is education on positive lifestyle adjustments/ changes. With compassion and understanding I educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications, enabling them to make informed decisions and achieve optimal health outcomes.
I remain dedicated to advocating for the well-being of individuals with cardiovascular disorders, striving to enhance their quality of life and promote cardiovascular health at every opportunity. Driven by a genuine desire to make a difference, this has led me to pursue qualifications in becoming a Level 2 and Level 3 fitness instructor and currently working towards a Nutritionist qualification. I think I exemplify the epitome of an Arrhythmia Nurse Specialist showcasing my unwavering dedication. Expertise and compassion, positively impacting the lives of my patients.
