Prof. Marek Jastrzbski is a Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at the Jagiellonian University Hospital in Krakow, Poland; graduated from Jagiellonian University in 1995 and trained at the First Department of Cardiology UJ. After multiple visits at the leading cardiac centres in Europe and US he have introduced new treatment options in his EP lab: ICDs, RF ablation, 3D mapping, fluoroless ablations, CRT, cryoballoons, His bundle pacing, left bundle branch pacing etc. He performed > 7500 EP procedures himself including > 1000 WPW, > 700 CRTs and > 1000 HIS/LBBP implants.
He is an invited speaker at multiple international conferences and meetings and has a strong research record (> 250 peer reviewed articles) and especially values his CRT and conduction system pacing research (deep septal programmed stimulation, His / LBB capture criteria, LOT-CRT, etc.) and the development of the "VT score" and WPW24.com ECG diagnostic method.
As the first electrophysiologist in Poland he obtained both EHRA certificates (Clinical Cardiac Pacing 2006, Invasive Electrophysiology 2007). He is passionate about EP education and research - hoping to advance both as the current President Elect of the Polish Heart Rhythm Association.
