Dr Alex Simms is a Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Lead for the Heart Failure service in Leeds with a specialist interest in Heart Failure, Device management, ICC and pregnancy in heart disease. He is a member of both the WY Cardiac Network and Leeds ICB Long Term Conditions Board with a focus on integrated care. He earned his primary medical qualifications at the University of Leeds in 2002, after which he undertook specialist training in Leeds, completing his MD in 2012, and was appointed to his current role in 2014. He has several peer reviewed publication and a growing research portfolio.
