Andre Ng is Professor of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Head of Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Leicester and Consultant Cardiologist at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester. He is a clinical expert in heart rhythm management and champions innovation in clinical interventions. Professor Ng is a recognized leader in early technology evaluation in cardiac electrophysiology, in particular new mapping tools and ablation catheters. He has proctored at many centres worldwide on novel electrophysiology technologies and is director of international training courses. He leads a multidisciplinary team of researchers spanning preclinical, clinical and engineering / mathematical science. He serves in the region as Non-Executive Director of Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust and Deputy Chair and Clinical pathway Lead for Heart Rhythm management in the East Midlands Clinical Network. He is President-Elect of the British Cardiovascular Society.
