Position: Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist

Dr. Chin is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.  He leads the VT Ablation Program at Glenfield Hospital.  He holds the position of honorary senior lecturer at the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences, University of Leicester.  

Dr. Chin received his medical degree from the University of Cambridge before undergoing Cardiology training in the West Midlands, with further advanced Electrophysiology fellowships at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, and Ottawa Heart Institute, Canada. Dr. Chins research interest encompasses autonomic interventions, and optimization of ablation outcome for complex arrhythmias, in particular ventricular arrhythmias in heart failure.  

He was awarded a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Fellowship to investigate autonomic modulation of ventricular electrophysiology in heart failure, earning a PhD degree from the University of Leicester in 2016.

Dr. Chin remains an active researcher in his field with numerous academic publications including peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
