Dr Mark Tanner, Consultant Cardiologist, Western Sussex Hospitals Foundation Trust and Imperial College London Healthcare NHS Trust.

After completing cardiology training in London, including a fellowship in electrophysiology and pacing at Imperial College London, Dr Tanner was appointed consultant cardiologist with a specialist interest in device therapy in 2010. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London, a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, and a member of the British Heart Rhythm Society

research interests include His-Bundle pacing in heart failure and the use of digital technology in the management of heart rhythm disorders. He recently sat on the NICE specialist committee for guidance on the use of Lead-I ECG devices for detecting symptomatic atrial fibrillation in primary care (DG35, 2019).
