• Background Graduated from Edinburgh Medical School in 1996. Completed General Medical Training in Scotland achieving Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) in 1999. Completed two years of postgraduate study looking at the pharmacological management of heart failure in patients with Professor John McMurray in Glasgow resulting in the award of a Medical Doctorate. I completed Cardiology specialist training in the North West including valuable experience in the Cardiac Transplant Centre at University Hospital of South Manchester before taking up post as Consultant with a Special Interest in Heart Failure in January 2009.
