Dr Nair is the Program Director for the Area of Focussed Competence in Cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Toronto for its three accredited electrophysiology fellowship programmes. He is also the Fellowship Program Director for Cardiac electrophysiology at the University Health Network/ Toronto General Hospital. He has established a dedicated Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship with Focus in Adult Congenital Heart Disease at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre. The Toronto Congenital Cardiac Centre for Adults at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre is home to the first and largest adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) program in the world.

Dr Nair has multiple ongoing research projects on arrhythmias, ablations and devices in Adult Congenital Heart Disease and is a peer reviewer for multiple journals including Circulation: Arrhythmia And Electrophysiology. Dr Nair’s major focus is on innovation in ablations and device implants in this complex population. Dr Nair has established a baffle puncture program for patients with Mustard anatomies and lateral tunnel Fontans and a dedicated Pacemaker and Defibrillator Clinic for patients With Adult Congenital Heart Disease. The centre now receives referrals for these procedures from both within and outside the province.
