Vivienne Ezzat

Position: Consultant Electrophysiologist
Location: London UK

Dr Vivienne Ezzat is a cardiologist and general electrophysiologist, looking after patients with a wide variety of heart rhythm disturbances including bradyarrhythmia, SVT and AF. She has a special interest in arrhythmia in patients with congenital heart disease. Her NHS base is St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London where she is lead for congenital heart disease electrophysiologDr Ezzat graduated from Sheffield University in 1998 and trained in general medicine and cardiology in Leeds, before moving to London in 2003 to embark on a PhD at King’s College. She completed this in 2007 and subsequently extensively trained in electrophysiology at three leading London teaching/tertiary centres: the Heart (UCLH), St. Bartholomew’s and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. She undertook a Fellowship at the world renowned Toronto General Hospital in 2014, before being appointed as a Consultant at the Barts Heart Centre in 2015. Here, she continues to have active interests in outcomes research as well as research into the mechanisms and outcomes of arrhythmia in patients with congenital heart disease.
