Dr Savelieva MD, PhD, FESC, FEHRA, is Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology at St George’s University of London where she divides her time between clinical commitments, teaching, and academic research. Her main interests are in electrophysiology and arrhythmias, particularly, all aspects of atrial fibrillation. She is a principal investigator in several large-scale randomized clinical trials in atrial fibrillation, including trials of new oral anticoagulants, and serves on faculty boards of general cardiology and specialist arrhythmia societies including ESC, EHRA, HRS, HRC-UK, AHA, ACC, Cardiostim, WAS, ICPES, and ISCP.

She has been a member of the ESC Task Force for Guidelines on management of atrial fibrillation in 2010, focused update of the ESC Guidelines in 2012, and an ESC document reviewer for the ESC Guidelines 2016. She is a current member of the EHRA Documents Writing Committee after joining the Committee in 2012, AF Science Evolution Working Group, Joint EHRA/AFNET Working Group, and AF-SCREEN International Collaboration Consensus Working Group on atrial fibrillation. She has written extensively on management and clinical and economic outcomes of atrial fibrillation. She is Deputy Editor for EP Europace, Assocaite Editor for Clinical Cardiology, and Editorial Board member of European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy.
