Dr Stephen Page qualified from Newcastle in 1999 and then trained in cardiology in London, working at King's College, The Heart, The London Chest, and St Bartholomew's Hospitals. His MD in 2005 investigated genotype-phenotype correlations in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and was supervised by Prof Bill McKenna and Prof Perry Elliott. He sub-specialised in cardiac electrophysiology at Barts and King's College Hospital before being appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Yorkshire Heart Centre in Leeds in 2013.

His clinical interests are in catheter ablation, device implantation and ICC medicine. He is the lead cardiologist for the regional ICC service in West, North and East Yorkshire. He is a member of the clinical advisory group for CardiomyopathyUK and a trustee for the Community Heart Beat Trust.​
