Position: Consultant Cardiologist

Dr. Anja Zupan Meznar is a consultant cardiologist at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenia, with clinical and research expertise in cardiac implantable electronic devices, and heart failure. She is actively involved in the implantation and management of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy systems, with a particular interest in ventricular arrhythmias, device therapy optimization, and heart failure care. Dr. Zupan Meznar is affiliated with the University of Ljubljana, where she has completed her PhD within the interdisciplinary doctoral programme in Biomedicine. She is actively engaged in clinical research and has contributed to scientific presentations and educational activities in the fields of electrophysiology and heart failure. In addition to her clinical and academic work, Dr. Zupan Meznar participates in the education of trainees and multidisciplinary collaboration in tertiary cardiovascular care. She has a strong interest in integrating imaging, device therapy, and individualized patient management into everyday clinical practice. She is committed to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based medicine, collaborative research, and continued professional education.
