Dipak is a Clinician Scientist in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Birmingham, a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in cardiac imaging and holds a prestigious National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Fellowship.  Dipak works with the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) on the Education Committee, and helped to write the 2016 ESC Guidelines for the Management of Atrial Fibrillation.  His research focuses on the interaction of heart failure and atrial fibrillation, published in leading journals such as the Lancet, BMJ, Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the European Heart Journal.
