Professor Dhanjal is the substantive Professor of Cardiology at the University of Warwick (Warwick Medical School) and a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW). Prof. Dhanjal qualified with first class Honours from the University of Birmingham having been awarded the Queen's Scholarship in 2000. He continued his training in Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Paris. He was awarded a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship and gained his PhD in 2007. He was awarded a Clinical Lectureship at Guy's & St Thomas’ Hospital, London. Prof Dhanjal undertook a two-year electrophysiology fellowship at Henri Mondor Hospital in Paris and was appointed as an NHS Consultant in 2014 and Professor of Cardiology at Warwick Medical School in 2025. He is head of the Heart Rhythm Research Group and his specialist interest is ablation of complex arrhythmias: AF and VT/VF. He is a recognised global key opinion leader and proctors cases
