Dr Jamie Walton is Head of Cardiac Implantable Devices and Deputy Hospital Director of Healthcare Science at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. His doctoral research explored the application of ultra-high frequency ECG mapping, with a particular focus on using advanced electrocardiographic techniques to optimise cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT). A recognised speaker and educator, Jamie lectures nationally on topics including cardiac device management, advanced heart failure, and quality systems in healthcare. He is passionate about advancing clinical practice and dedicated to delivering high-quality education that empowers the next generation of healthcare scientists. In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Jamie contributes actively to the wider scientific community as Treasurer and Events Chair for the SCST, and as Webinar Lead for the British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS).
