Position: Senior Heart Failure Clinical Nurse Specialist
Location: Liverpool, UK

I am a Clinical Specialist Nurse who has 17 years’ experience in the field of Cardiology. I qualified in 2009 from Wolverhampton University. I am passionate about patient care and creating a positive experience for service users and driving forward standards of care. I have worked across primary, secondary, and tertiary care within the NHS. My range of experience encompasses caring for patients with a variety of acute and chronic cardiac illnesses, with experience of delivering level 2 and 3 care.

I currently work as a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Heart Failure at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, and prior to this an Arrhythmia Clinical Nurse Specialist. I have undertaken additional courses applicable to my chosen clinical field; in 2017 I completed the Dimension in Health Care: Coronary Care at Birmingham City University, Clinical Examination at the University of Bolton in 2021, and Independent and Supplementary Prescribing (V300) at Edge Hill University in 2023. Presently I am undertaking Heart Failure Management in Clinical Practice at Keele University. In the past I was part of a Task Force to help develop the Advanced Cardiothoracic Skills Course, which is currently run at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and will be accredited through Edge Hill University.
