Position: Clinical Cardiac Scientist
Location: London, UK

Victoria Waites is a Higher Specialist Scientist Trainee and the Head of CRM Training and Research within the Cardiac Physiology Department at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. A specialist in cardiac rhythm management, she leads on Devices, is the lead for the physiologist led ILR implant and explant service, and is actively involved in the syncope service in close collaboration with colleagues in elderly care and neurology. Through these roles, Victoria drives high standards across diagnostic and device based pathways, ensuring patients receive safe, efficient and evidence informed care. Her work centres on developing robust, future focused training frameworks and strengthening research engagement across the CRM workforce. She is deeply passionate about training the next generation of CRM enthusiasts, creating learning environments that inspire curiosity, confidence and a commitment to excellence. Her professional interests span workforce development, supervision models, advanced practice evolution and innovative approaches to service design. Victoria is committed to championing healthcare science both locally and nationally. She brings to this conference a strong dedication to education, innovation and the continual advancement of cardiac physiology.
