Position: Consultant in Emergency Medicine
Location: Edinburgh, UK

Matt is Professor of Emergency Medicine at Edinburgh University, and Consultant and NRS Fellow at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. He is Chair of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) Research Committee and Research Director of the Emergency Medicine Research Group Edinburgh (EMERGE), a multidisciplinary clinical research group delivering frontline applied health research which is the leading recruiter of Emergency Medicine research participants in the UK. Matt’s research work currently focuses broadly on challenging areas of acute care such as syncope, palpitations, and aortic dissection as well as the innovative use of novel technology. Matt has published over 150 papers and has personally been awarded over £11.3 million in research grants.
