Margarida Pujol-Lopez MD PhD MSc. Scientist at The University of Arizona. M. Pujol trained as a medical doctor at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain), followed by a cardiology training at the Universitat Barcelona and electrophysiology training under the program directed by Dr. Lluís Mont and Dr. Josep Brugada at Hospital Clinic de Barcelona. Her research background includes the 1-year program Global Clinical Scholars Research Training at Harvard Medical School and a PhD degree (Cum laude with international mention) at Universitat Barcelona on cardiac resynchronization therapy and conduction system pacing. She was awarded the Rio Hortega Contract as a clinical-scientist through a highly competitive national Spanish call, funded by Instituto de Salud Carlos III. She completed a Research Fellow at The University of Chicago & University of Arizona-Phoenix (May 2022-March 2023). Additionally, she was a visiting scholar at The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, supported by a Spanish grant for the mobility of clinical scientists (2024). She has been appointed corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia for her research contributions (2026).
