Position: Consultant Cardiologist

Jenny Chuen is a consultant cardiologist with subspecialty interest in Devices and Heart Failure at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, where she is Clinical Lead for Devices. She has particular interest in complex device procedures, including conduction system pacing, re-intervention procedures and percutaneous extractions, as well as novel technologies such as leadless pacing, the subcutaneous ICD and the EV-ICD. She is a proctor for the subcutaneous ICD. She is Principal Investigator for ongoing clinical studies investigating conduction system pacing, the role of primary prevention ICD in non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy and leadless pacemakers.
She undertook her Cardiology specialty training in the North Western Deanery, followed by Device fellowships at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, and at Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark, having been awarded a European Heart Rhythm Association Fellowship in Arrhythmias and Cardiac Pacing. Her clinical research project examining the value of repeated measures of non-invasive biomarkers to predict decompensation in patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction led to the award of her MD degree from the University of Birmingham.
