Julia Newton is Clinical Professor of Ageing and Medicine at Newcastle University and Honorary Consultant Physician at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She has also recently been appointed as Deputy Medical Director in NUTH and Medical Director of the Academic Health Science Network of the North East and North Cumbria.

Julia has a research and clinical interests in the role of autonomic dysfunction in the symptom of fatigue and has published extensively in this area.
