Position: GP Cardiologist
Location: Oxford, UK

Dr Charlie Gardiner is a GP and Integrated GP Cardiologist based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.  He trained at Southampton University before going on to complete Core Medical Training in the Wessex deanery, gaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2010, followed by Membership of the Royal College of GPs in 2013.

He has worked in a variety of roles in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Cambodia and has spent the last 6 years as part of the GP Cardiology team in Oxford in addition to working in primary care. He holds a post graduate diploma in cardiology and is in the process of gaining accreditation in echocardiography. The GP Cardiology team in Oxford provide a general cardiology service in the community, seeing patients with chronic coronary disease, heart failure, valvular disease and rhythm disorders. In a world of increasingly complex comorbidity and polypharmacy, the team have found that their general physician skills with advanced cardiology knowledge is well suited to the modern era we find ourselves in.
