Position: Clinical Nurse Specialist in Electrophysiology
Location: London, UK

I currently work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in the arrhythmia service at Royal Brompton Hospital, which is part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ trust. I have worked within this role for 4 years, during which time my colleagues and I have redesigned the CNS service with addition of day-case reviews and CNS-led symptom clinics and post-ablation/post-cardioversion clinics.

I graduated from Nottingham University with an undergraduate Masters in Nursing Science in 2016, working one year in a general cardiology ward as a Staff Nurse at Leeds General Infirmary before moving to London and working in the Coronary Care Unit at St Thomas’ Hospital where I transitioned to Senior Staff Nurse and Deputy Sister roles. I then moved to Brompton Hospital in 2021 where I was given the opportunity to study for an Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) Masters. I recently completed my ACP Masters with King’s College London University, graduating in early 2025.

I am very interested in the developing role of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner within cardiology services across secondary and tertiary care - this is hopefully my next career pathway.
