Dr. Bruce Wilkoff, Director of the Cardiac Pacing & Tachyarrhythmia Devices in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of CWRU. Graduating from Northwestern University (Engineering) and The Ohio State University (Medicine) he subsequently authored over 390 peer reviewed manuscripts on transvenous lead extraction, pacemakers, ICDs, CRT and medical informatics and co-edited 5 editions of the primary textbook on Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices, titled Clinical Cardiac Pacing, Defibrillation and Resynchronization Therapy. He is an active participant in the international heart rhythm community with membership in EHRA (2010), APHRS (2009) and HRS (NASPE) since 1986, a member and chair of many committees and international consensus documents and past president of HRS (2011). An IBHRE certified device specialist (CCDS) and writing committee member (1988).
