Position: Cardiologist

Dr Emma Svennberg is a cardiologist working in the department of electrophysiology and cardiology at Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm Sweden. Dr Svennberg’s main research interests lie within screening for atrial fibrillation using digital devices and as such she has been part of the large STROKESTOP screening trials. Dr Svennberg has received the Swedish Society of Cardiology research award twice, is a fellow of the ESC, and EHRA. She was one of the founders, and subsequently president of the Swedish branch of Cardiologists of Tomorrow. Dr Svennberg has been a member of the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) board, and the inaugural chair of the Digital Committee. She is a member of the European Society of Cardiology’s Digital Health Committee, and editor on European Heart Journal Digital Health.
