Dr Coral Hanson is a senior research fellow in the School of Health and Social Care at Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland. Prior to this, she worked for 20 years in a public leisure sector environment developing and implementing health-based physical activity interventions. Coral is an experienced deliverer of exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation and her PhD evaluated community-based physical activity referral schemes. Her current research focuses on understanding what works in atrial fibrillation screening interventions. She is also involved a feasibility randomised controlled trial aimed at increasing medication adherence among adults with atrial fibrillation using mobile health technology.
