Dr Fu Siong Ng is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Imperial College London, and a Consultant Cardiologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He is also Director of the Intercalated BSc in Cardiovascular Sciences at Imperial College London and Divisional Research Lead at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Ng is a Clinician Scientist and leads a programme of research on understanding arrhythmia mechanisms alongside performing invasive ablation procedures and implanting cardiac devices in patients with heart rhythm disorders. His research projects span the translational research spectrum, from benchtop high-resolution optical mapping of myocardial fibrillation, through to development of novel signal analysis tools for myocardial fibrillation, leading to a recent patent application, and clinical first-in-man low-energy atrial defibrillation studies. Dr Ng has chaired the prestigious Young Investigators Competition since 2019.
