Position: Arrhythmia Nurse Specialist
Location: Essex, UK

Sarah Clarke is an Arrhythmia Nurse Specialist based at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre in Essex. Her role includes the care and management of patients undergoing both electrophysiology procedures and device implantation. She is the lead nurse for in-patient services, this includes developing and managing patient pathways and protocols in addition to staff education and competencies. She teaches on education days aimed at band 5 nurses, the ITU critical care course run by the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre on behalf of Anglia Ruskin University, in house rhythm recognition and ECG interpretation courses as well as specific education sessions requested by individual departments. She has a special interest in syncope management. Sarah has also been an elected nurse representative on the British Heart Rhythm Society council since October 2019.
