Dr. Kapa is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Mayo Clinic, where he specializes in complex ablation. He additionally directs innovation related to augmented and virtual reality technologies and conducts research related to the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to medical data. He has published in areas related to AI application to the ECG to predict physiologic age, sex, and ejection fraction, the use of novel biologically compatible materials to recircuit cardiac conduction, and the development of novel approaches to cardiac ablation, such as electroporation. Additionally, he serves as an advisor to several start-up and public companies working in the digital health, wearable, and electrophysiology spaces.
