Position: Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Cardiac Sciences
Location: Calgary, CA

Dr. Vidya Raj is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Cardiac Sciences at the University of Calgary, Canada. She was born and brought up in rural Warwickshire and completed Medical School at the University of Manchester. She then met her husband to be, resulting in a move to Nashville Tennessee. Dr. Raj then completed her Psychiatry training and Fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville and joined the Faculty as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry. In 2014, she moved to Calgary, where she is the medical director of the Hearts and Minds Clinic, a psychiatric consult service dedicated to the care of patients with cardiac disease. She has a special interest in psychiatric disorders in patients with autonomic dysfunction and cardiac disease, and often collaborates on research projects with her husband, Dr. Satish Raj.
