Dr Whitehouse is a Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Medicine, University of Nottingham, and Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Nottingham Children's Hospital. He has a particular clinical interest in syncope and related disorders, epilepsies, headache, and ataxia-telangiectasia in children and teenagers. He is active in clinical research and teaching, with about 200 publications and more than 5,000 citations: h-index = 36; i10-index = 79. He lives with his wife and various animals, has four grown children, and plays ukulele and bodhrán.
