Vishal Luther recently completed his Electrophysiology & Devices training at the Hammersmith Hospital in London, and has been appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at the Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital to start in October 2020. He is an EHRA certified EP & devices specialist. He was awarded a PhD from Imperial College London investigating novel mapping and ablation techniques in myocardial scar, for which he won the prestigious Heart Rhythm Society 2019 “Eric Prystowsky Fellow Clinical Researcher Award” and now leads the Biosense Webster national CARTO Ripple Mapping training course. He has a particular interest in VT ablation, having developed a novel substrate ablation approach using Ripple Mapping (Circ AE 2017), and continues to test this approach in a multicentre study. He has an active member of Heart Rhythm UK, speaking during previous congress “EP Masterclass” as well as the Arrhythmia Alliance & A-Fib Association Patients Days.
