Ms Lucy Green

Lucy Green

Position: Clinical Nurse Specialist in Inherited Cardiac Conditions
Location: London UK

I have been employed at the Royal Brompton Hospital since 2012 and I started in my current role in 2016. Before I became a Clinical Nurse Specialist I was working as a Senior Nurse on Rose Ward. Working as a Nurse Specialist has provided a fantastic opportunity for me to work closely with families and children with inherited conditions.

I completed a Masters in Cardiology and Respiratory Nursing in 2014. Since then I have enjoyed teaching and I am now a supervisor for other students undertaking the Masters programme. Completing this programme has improved my evidence based practice to offer specialised quality care and advice for patients and their families.

I have a particular interest in Inherited conditions, transitional care, symptom recognition and management, education and patient support.

I have been involved in a number of research and service improvement projects that have focused on symptom recognition tools, patient experience and transition. I have presented the projects and the research findings both nationally and internationally.
