Position: Consultant Pharmacist (Anticoagulation)
Frances commenced work in anticoagulation in 2002 with a PhD exploring the evidence-based redesign of anticoagulation services in different care settings.
Over the years, Frances has redesigned and delivered a variety of anticoagulation service models in both secondary and primary care. In her current role as consultant pharmacist for anticoagulation she leads and promotes quality anticoagulation at local, regional and national levels. Frances chairs the Pan-London Quality Anticoagulation in Atrial Fibrillation Working Group which aims to both increase rates of appropriate anticoagulation amongst Atrial Fibrillation patients and optimise anticoagulation therapy.
Frances is on the expert panel for Anticoagulation UK, a resource for people taking anticoagulant therapy. She currently sits on the NICE Guideline (Update) Committee for Venous Thromboembolic Diseases.
