Position: Specialist Cardiac Physiologist
Location: Leeds, UK

Maria is a cardiac physiologist based at Leeds General Infirmary and the University of Leeds. She currently holds an NIHR clinical doctoral fellowship and is an independent researcher investigating the effects of right ventricular pacing, specifically the progression of left ventricular dysfunction over time and whether this is reversible through personalised pacemaker programming. She has undertaken an MSc in advanced practice and is particularly interested in the development of advanced roles for physiologists and the benefit these may have to delivering heart failure care.
