Dr Boyle received his medical degree and PhD from the Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowship training at Beth Israel Medical Centre, Harvard University, Boston. Dr Boyle is the director of the cardiac electrophysiology fellowship program and professor of medicine at UCLA Medical Centre and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Los Angeles, USA. His research interests are outcomes in atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia management, lead extraction and ECG prediction of in-hospital cardiac arrest.
