Arrhythmia Nurse Specialist, Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, Somerset.

I trained in Kent and then worked in London and Bristol – in Cardiology and Cardiothoracic ITU and HDU.

After relocating to Somerset I worked in the Cardiac Catheter Lab before becoming a Cardiac Rehab Nurse.

I was able to help develop services for patients with complex devices after successfully getting one of the BHF funded Arrhythmia Care Coordinators posts ten years ago. We run a helpline, newsletter and support group for patients with ICD’s as well as a pre device clinic and post implant collaborative clinic with cardiac physiologists. We also run services for patients with atrial fibrillation and inherited cardiac conditions.

My special interests include supporting patients with complex cardiac devices and genetics/genomics and inherited cardiac conditions.

I have completed an MSc including counselling and cardiovascular genetic and genomics modules.
