Satish R Raj MD MSCI is a Canadian Heart Rhythm Cardiologist who went to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee for a 2 year research fellowship. He is a slow learner. He stayed for 12 years, joining the Vanderbilt University Faculty, working primarily with the Vanderbilt Autonomic Dysfunction Center. He has now moved back to the University of Calgary in Canada and he has set up an Autonomic Center of Excellence.  He is currently Associate Professor of Cardiac Science at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute and the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine.

His primary research interests relate to understanding and better treating postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and vasovagal syncope.

Dr. Raj also serves as a Medical Advisor to many POTS patient groups, including POTS UK, Dysautonomia International, and DINET.
