Position: Consultant' Neurologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer
Location: Manchester, UK

Paul is a Consultant Neurologist at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, and until recently was Medical Director of the David Lewis Centre, He is Chair of the DVLA Medical Panel for Neurological Disorders, and also Chair of the STARS Medical Advisory Panel. His current main research interest is in collaboration with cardiologists and mathematicians in UK and Europe in tackling the issues of misdiagnosis in epilepsy, in particular looking at advanced mathematical techniques to analyse both EEGs and ECGs. He is active with NICE and has Chaired a number of Guidelines for neurological conditions, including for Transient Loss of Consciousness (Blackouts). Outside of Neurology he still competes internationally at Epee fencing, now as a Veteran, and is also a member of the Alpine Club.
