Frederik de Lange is a cardiologist (PI) with special interests in general cardiology / cardiac devices and diagnosing / treating patients with syncope. After his PhD on the cardiac conducting system he did his specialization in the Amsterdam University Medical Center in Amsterdam. He is head of the syncope unit which is tertiary outpatient clinic facility and part of the cardiology department. He was involved as a Taskforce member and co-author of the 2018 ESC Guidelines on Syncope. His main research project at the moment is the Fainting Assessment Study (F.A.ST.), a research line on the clinical impact of specialized syncope units and implementation of the ESC guidelines on syncope.
