Dr. Narayan works at the intersection of cardiology, bioengineering and computational methods to improve care for patients with heart rhythm disorders. The Computational Arrhythmia Research Laboratory (CARL) that he directs pioneered computerized mapping to personalize ablation for atrial and ventricular fibrillation, and for risk stratification. Dr. Narayan’s trainees have won prizes each year since 2003, and he received the Distinguished Scientist award of the Heart Rhythm Society in 2022.
