Position: Heart Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Senior Lecturer
Location: Sydney, AU

Jessica is a Heart Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Centenary Institute and University of Sydney. Jessica’s PhD was awarded without emendation in November 2020. She also has a Master of Public Health, and Bachelor of Economics / Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) from the University of Sydney. Jessica’s research aims to improve the quality of cardiac screening programs to prevent sudden cardiac death (SCD) and catastrophic disability from stroke. These projects have used novel eHealth tools and have made best practice recommendations to address legal, ethical and logistical responsibilities which arise at all stages of the process. Jessica is a member of AF SCREEN International Collaboration and became a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) in 2019. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and has won numerous awards for her atrial fibrillation research, including the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand Prevention Prize (2020) and the Peter Bancroft Prize for Research, University of Sydney (2020).
