Position: Consultant Electrophysiologist

Dr. Nicholas Tullo is a cardiac electrophysiologist practicing in West Orange, New Jersey. He has a special interest in syncope and autonomic dysfunction, aside from arrhythmias, catheter ablation and cardiac rhythm devices.  He created the New Jersey Center for Fainting to help patients with that common problem, and practices at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ.

Dr. Tullo served as Director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia and Pacemaker Service at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center for 12 years. Dr. Tullo then moved to Tennessee to work with the Chattanooga Heart Institute, but moved back to New Jersey in 2006 to join Consultants in Cardiology in West Orange. He has maintained a consultative practice and is involved with teaching and clinical research.

Dr. Tullo regularly gives lectures to physicians, nurses, and technicians at St. Barnabas. He is the creator of an internationally recognized educational website known as ECG Academy®, and occasionally gives “ECG Masterclass” medical conferences online. He was voted “TOP DOC” by New Jersey Magazine, and in May of 2014 he was selected by the faculty, resident physicians and medical students at St. Barnabas to receive the prestigious Harvey E. Nussbaum Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching.  In the past he was National Spokesperson for a public awareness campaign called "Take Fainting To Heart," sponsored by Medtronic and STARS.ORG. He also serves as Medical Advisor to the Dysautonomia Information Network.
