Elijah Behr is an international expert in the field of arrhythmias. He is Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine and Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at St George's, London where he trained. He is a graduate of St John’s College, University of Cambridge and the University of London.

Professor Behr is past president of the Association for Inherited Cardiac Conditions and the first chairperson of the European Cardiac Arrhythmia Genetics Group of EHRA. He co-leads the arrhythmia syndrome sub-domain of the UK 100,000 Genomes Project Cardiovascular Genome England Clinical Interpretation Partnership.

His research interests include prediction of sudden death risk; drug-induced arrhythmia; the Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS); channelopathies including long QT and Brugada syndromes; and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy.
