Position: Consultant Cardiologist

Dr Alistair Slade trained in medicine at Cambridge University and the Middlesex Hospital graduating in 1984. He trained in cardiology in Bournemouth, the Brompton and St George’s Hospital before being appointed as a consultant cardiologist in Truro in 1996. He specialises in arrhythmia management and expanded local ablation services and developed complex device services demonstrating that these services could be delivered safely and well in the large DGH setting. He has been a Clinical Director on 2 occasions and is currently an Associate Medical Director at the Trust. For the last 7 years he has been on the Council of BHRS serving as Hon. Secretary for 6 years and is currently President Elect and will assume the Presidency at HRC this year.
