Sajad Ahmed Hayat

Position: Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist
Location: Qatar, QA

Dr Sajad Hayat qualified from the University of Manchester in 1999 and completed his cardiology training in London. His Electrophysiology training was completed at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, UK and Ospedale San Rafaelle, Milan. He has extensive experience in novel technologies and 3D mapping systems for the treatment of complex arrhythmias.

He was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Qatar Heart Hospital in August 2018, having worked as a Consultant in the UK. He is primarily involved in developing the complex arrhythmia and device programmes at Qatar Heart Hospital. His current practice involves all aspects of electrophysiology and management of cardiac arrhythmias, including catheter ablation, implantation of pacemakers, ICDs and CRT.

Dr Hayat has particular research interests in Cryoballoon AF ablation, mapping of atrial fibrillation and the role of the autonomic nervous system in cardiac arrhythmias.
