This year’s HRC EP Traces Course invites new faculty, Dr Gwilym Morris from Manchester to join Dr Fakhar Khan from London and Dr Simon Modi from Liverpool. The faculty will host a full day’s interactive training on how to interpret EP traces from the most basic concepts to advanced and unusual EP. Our aim is to teach a methodical way of interpreting EP traces, device dot plots/EGMs and ECGs that enables the user to form a logically ordered differential diagnosis enabling you to ‘work out the arrhythmia mechanism’.

We aim the course at EP trainees, cardiac physiologists and consultants wishing to refresh their diagnostic skills. Some prior EP lab experience is beneficial to gain the most form the course but those that have only ever looked at a handful of EP traces are welcome too.

The teaching is interactive but shrinking violets shouldn’t be put off as we make it our mission to walk you through the traces in a step by step fashion trying to avoid those ‘rabbit in the headlights’ moments that we have all succumbed to during our training.
